E-Cigarette Forums Are BS

... As well as reviews, yet they take up the first several pages on google's search engine.  Leaving many unbiased reviews buried and/or just plain ignored.

I am so irritated at how the E-Cig industry has taken over google searches.  You can't find out any legitimate information because every page, every article every post is written by the people that sell them.

Over the last few years I have had several different types of experiences with the e-cig.  Some insignificant, others bad and some just plain dangerous.

Because my significant other smokes one and I myself use to be a smoker I am often tempted to give in to the occasional puff.

A few years ago I OD'd from having the liquid come in direct contact with my mouth.  It had dripped out of the E-Cigarette. Within seconds I was convulsing but honestly it didn't occur to me what was happening because I had hit it so many times before with no problem.  With me dry heaving and feeling like I was dying my husband typed in my symptoms to google to find out what was happening.  To which we got some information that it was a typical reaction to ODing. I was poisoned.  I realized afterwards that it was the liquid from the e-cig that had caused it.

So after that I was very careful about it.  Also told people so that used e-cigs so the same thing wouldn't happen to them or god forbid a child that gets a hold of one.

Through-out my life I have had random asthma attacks.  Usually in really humid weather or in a very smokey room.  I hadn't been having them for some time when the came back more frequently.

It honestly never dawned on me that it could be the E-Cigarette until one day I was sitting in a room with a sun ray beaming through a window.  The light lit up the room and clearly displayed what looked like to be smoke lingering in the room.  It was full of what looked like to be smoke.  It couldn't be smoke because no one smokes in my house.  Just the E-Cigarette.

After awhile, I realized in small rooms where there is no circulation, the E-Cigarette would bring on Asthma attacks.  Sometimes just minor.  Not enough to keep me from occasionally hitting it.  Plus I didn't believe it could be the E-Cigarette since it wasn't smoke.

Then the other night I was convinced that it is the E-Cigarette causing the asthma attacks.  I was in the theater with my husband.  I forgot he even had it with him.  He was discretely smoking it and I never even noticed he was hitting it.  It was dark in the theater.  About 1/2 way through the movie I started having trouble breathing.  Then I was clearing my lungs. I was hacking something up.

I told him I was having an asthma attack.  Since this is something that happened before it was a huge shocker.  He asked if I wanted to leave, to which I replied, no. I wanted to see the rest of the movie.  Then a few seconds later, he went to hit the E-Cig, this time in front of me.  I asked him to not do that because I was having trouble breathing.

From then on he just moved towards the back of the theater when he smoked it. By the end of the film my lungs were clearing out and I could breath ok again.

I tried to do some research on it, but all you can find is nicotine addicts and E-Cigarette manufacturers complaining about people faking asthma attacks to "control" a room or people or something....

As I read on it was one insulting comment after another. People really not considering that what they might be doing could be damaging to other people.  And every single blog or comment in the search engines supports this mentality.  I would really like to know whats happening from this exposure and what kind of damage is going on.  Right now it has not been approved by the FDA.  I am pretty sure the people in charge of it are more concerned with the dollar amount than public health.  I mean, how long did it take for people to find out the damage cigarettes were causing and then how long was till anyone actually did anything about it?

And as far as the E-Cig smokers, well, they are addicts and want to be able to keep their cigarette.  An addict will believe anything to justify a means to keeping his fix.  That's cool and everything, keep your E-Cig. But don't expose other people to the toxins you choose to put in your body.  And for God's sake if someone is having a health issue as a result of your smoking it, give them the benefit of the doubt.
